Chennai, India – August 2014 – In recognition of their commitment to global standards for security best practice, Encore IT Services Solutions Pvt. Ltd., wholly owned subsidiary of Encore Software Services, Inc., the leading provider of consulting services, today announces that is has become one of the first organizations to achieve the ISO 27001:2013 certification.

Published in September 2013, the latest ISO 27001:2013 standard is the recognized international benchmark for information security management, outlining how to implement and uphold an independently assessed and certified Information Security Management System (ISMS). Having undergone an extensive two-stage audit process of internal procedures, organizations that achieve ISO 27001:2013 demonstrate to customers, suppliers and stakeholders their commitment and compliance to global best practice for information security.

By obtaining the ISO 27001:2013 certification, Encore has further strengthened its commitment to providing customers with the necessary levels of assurance regarding the way their information is managed and secured. Encore information security management system includes policies around access control, incident management, business continuity, physical security, human resources and technical procedures.

 

 

Recommendations from British Standards Institute (BSI), the auditor for ISO27001/2013:

‘We are pleased to recommend that the scope of activities detailed in this report meet certification requirements. The recommendation will be independently verified within BSI. Upon verification your certificate of certification will be issued.
The objectives of this assessment have been achieved.
I would like to thank all the audit participants for their assistance and co-operation which enabled the audit to run smoothly and to schedule.
Based on the objective evidence detailed within this report, the areas assessed during the course of the visit were generally found to be effective.
Corrective actions with respect to nonconformities raised at the last assessment have been reviewed and found to be effectively implemented. ‘
